Today we think about those who suffer from mental ill-health. We think about those who are going through their own mental health battles and we remember those who unfortunately lost their battles and are no longer with us.

It is a day to remember that a single conversation can save a life. Talking about our issues to a family member, a friend, a therapist, or a healthcare professional can make us feel like a weight has been lifted from our shoulders and allows us to open new doors and create a new future for ourselves.

On the flip-side, if someone comes to you and wishes to open up about their mental ill-health then PLEASE listen. You could really change their life for the better by doing such a simple thing by giving them your time and patience.

Look after your loved ones and look after yourself, but most of all remember that there are people who are willing to help you during your time of need.
